The three summer gigs come on the back of Beatyard who announced The Groove Armada and Chvrches will be their headliners for this year’s festival which takes place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, also at Dun Laoghaire Harbour.

The fifth edition of the family-friendly, multi-stage festival takes place over two days on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4, August.

Scandinavian superstar Todd Terje and legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash join headliners Groove Armada live on the Saturday with killer live outfit Jungle and globe-spanning favourite Marc Rebillet taking to the stage on the Sunday 4,  alongside headliners Chvrches, with more acts expected to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, a new music and arts festival ‘Love Sensation’ featuring Lily Allen, Clean Bandit, Gossip, Kelis, Mother DJs, Soulé, Horse Meat Disco, has been unveiled for the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on August 17 and 18.

This brand-new shining beacon in the Irish festival scene is a “next generation two-day music and arts festival” aimed at the LGBT+ community and their many friends

Love Sensation promoter and founder of Mother, Cormac Cashman, said: “Love Sensation feels like a natural progression for us. We’ve wanted to run a music festival for years, something that caters to our community and focuses on inclusivity, fun, good music, good times and sound people.

“We’ve been lucky enough to have amazing success with our Pride Block Party so 2019 feels right for us to launch our very own festival.”
