Northside employees heeding the call to work from home

An empty Clontarf Road this morning

This was Monday morning ‘rush hour’ in Clontarf this morning.

It’s a sure sign that many employees are heeding the Government’s advice to work from home, if possible.
Unfortunately, there has also been a sharp increase in the numbers signing on due to the blanket closure of pubs, which came into effect today.

Many restaurants have voluntarily closed in the interests of the safety of their staff and customers. The Government is likely to issue further guidelines to restaurant owners in the coming days.

Northside People would like to encourage its readers to support local businesses as much as possible during the Covid-19 crisis while following the Government’s safety advice. This could take the form of buying gift vouchers for pubs or restaurants or even paying deposits for future home improvement works.
