One year on from their Philadelphia performance at Live Aid, Simple Minds brought their ‘Big Music’ to Croke Park on June 28, 1986, delighting fans with hits such as ‘Waterfront’, ‘Alive and Kicking’ and ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’.

Also on the bill were In Tua Nua, The Waterboys and Lloyd Cole and the Commotions.

A guest appearance by Bono at the end of Simple Minds’ set was the icing on the cake!

This video footage follows acclaimed rock photographer, Colm Henry, as he captures one of the biggest concerts of the 1980s.
