A GROUP of Northside dancers stepped up to the plate recently when they opened the Grand Final of the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition at the 3 Arena and kicked off the party in style.

The 16 dancers from Eclipse Stage School, based in Kilbarrack with another school now open in Beaumont, performed a medley of dance classics and current chart hits while becoming one of the youngest acts to ever open a show at the 3 Arena.

Choreographed and creatively directed by Kenneth Giles, the show also saw 80 designs from around Ireland made from recycled material by secondary school students.

On the night the dancers got to rub shoulders with Ireland’s Got Talent judge Louis Walsh and presenter Doireann Garrihy.
