SPECSAVERS recently opened its 15th Dublin store in Donaghmede Shopping Centre, creating 11 new jobs.

Former Dublin GAA star Ciarán Whelan officially opened the new store which has been warmly received in the community.

The team at Specsavers Donaghmede hosted a family fun day to celebrate the official opening, with a face painter and balloon modeller to entertain customers of all ages.

Ciarán Whelan was on hand to meet and greet customers and speak to them about the importance of prioritising eye and hearing health. Staff handed out almost 200 goody bags to customers as well as sweet treats for the children.

Store partners Ruairí O’Neill and Jason Reynolds, together with an experienced team of optometrists, audiologists and highly trained staff, will provide customers with great service and value for money across both optical and audiology.

Speaking at the opening, Jason Reynolds said: We are delighted to have reached the major milestone of opening a 15th Specsavers store in Dublin and to be able to bring our professional offering to Donaghmede and the wider community.

“This opening illustrates the consistent growth and commitment of Specsavers in Dublin, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and support of our customers.

“We look forward to welcoming customers to the new store which offers exceptional optical and hearing services along with stylish yet affordable eyewear to people of all ages.”

Ruairí O’Neill said: “We are committed to bringing advanced technology to the people of Donaghmede.

“We have invested in sophisticated, state-of-the-art equipment to make sure we have the most professional service available for our customers. “We use high-tech machinery which can play an important role in the early detection of eye disease as we don’t just see it as a sight test but as part of an overall eye health check.”
