MEMBERS of a well-known Northside soccer club gathered in a local pub last month to mark the 70th anniversary of their formation.

Whitehall Rangers AFC was founded in 1947 and celebrated their 70th birthday on October 28 in the Beaumont House pub.

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly a presentation to Willie O’Hanlon and Jack O’Shea (pictured opposite, l-r), from the founding 1947 and 1948 teams respectively.

Another highlight was the ladies’ team displaying their treasure trove of trophies won in 2017, winning the (DWSL) League, League Cup and Intermediate Cup.

Whitehall Rangers AFC currently has senior men’s, senior ladies, under 19s and over 35s teams and will grow in the future. New players are always welcome. Visit www.whitehallrangers.ie for more information.
