A TEENAGER from Mulhuddart became a record breaker last month after landing a huge 12lb trout while on a fishing trip to Lough Ramor, Virginia, Co Cavan. Trócaire to mark its 40th anniversary with mini festival

Spikeball proves a winner with students

SPIKEBALL is an adapted game of volleyball developed by the Volleyball Association of Ireland to encourage primary school teachers to introduce the sport to their students.  This adapted game makes the sport easier than volleyball to play for younger children, and since its introduction participation levels have risen by over 300 per cent. THE search for Miss Bikini Ireland is underway with heats to find a representative from North Dublin due to take place at Rouge Nightclub in Swords on May 4. The competition is now in its second year and in 2012 Niamh Aughney (pictured), from Swords, won Miss Bikini North Dublin and went on to represent the county at the Miss Bikini Ireland final.
