A TEENAGER from Mulhuddart became a record breaker last month after landing a huge 12lb trout while on a fishing trip to Lough Ramor, Virginia, Co Cavan. Eric Cahill (16) was with a group of 10 youngsters from Mulhuddart Foroige Fishing Club when he caused amazement and surprise after hooking the huge ferox trout. More...

Trócaire to mark its 40th anniversary with mini festival

AN overseas development charity will hold a mini festival in Dublin city centre later this month as part of a programme of activities to mark the organisation’s 40th anniversary. Spikeball proves a winner with students

SPIKEBALL is an adapted game of volleyball developed by the Volleyball Association of Ireland to encourage primary school teachers to introduce the sport to their students. Search on for Miss Bikini

THE search for Miss Bikini Ireland is underway with heats to find a representative from North Dublin due to take place at Rouge Nightclub in Swords on May 4. The competition is now in its second year and in 2012 Niamh Aughney (pictured), from Swords, won Miss Bikini North Dublin and went on to represent the county at the Miss Bikini Ireland final. More...
