City Carnival

Did you know that the first week of August is ‘International Clown Week'? No, we didn’t either, but to celebrate, the final event of Summer Sundays on College Green on August 4 will be City Carnival.

The performance spaces will see appearances from multi-talented artistes, while the side show will feature an Antique Carousel, Facepainters, Stiltwalkers, Jugglers and Mime Artists. The event this Sunday will also host workshops to give families the chance to try out some basic Circus Skills.

Wag ‘n’ Walk

Village Vets are hosting a charity dog walk to raise vital funds for My Canine Companion autism service dogs.

The 5km sponsored Wag ‘n’ Walk will take place in The Phoenix Park on Sunday, August 4 at 11am. The meeting place is the Dublin Zoo car park.

The walk will loop through much of the Phoenix Park's beautiful scenery, hopefully on one of the nicest days of the year!

Participants are asked to make a suggested donation of €10, which will go straight to My Canine Companion. Each dog will also receive a free bandana and dog treats upon arrival.
