The Script will be headlining the 2FM Xmas Ball this year.

THE return of the 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC, which will take place at 3Arena on December 19, will feature headliners The Script.

Following the success of last year’s event, which raised over €460,000, RTÉ 2FM and MCD have come together again to host the biggest Xmas Ball yet in aid of the children’s charity.

Headliners The Script will be joined by The Coronas, Gavin James, Hudson Taylor and Wild Youth to perform live on the night, with very special guests to be announced.

The 2FM Xmas Ball will be hosted by all 2FM presenters including Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene, Eoghan McDermott, Bernard O’Shea, Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh, Tracy Clifford and others.

Tickets (€39.50) are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

Caroline Downey, President of the ISPCC and producer of the 2FM Xmas Ball, said: “We are delighted to have so many talented and successful artists perform at the 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC.

“We are truly blessed to have their support along with 2FM, the team in MCD and the 3Arena.

“We will continue to strive and help children in Ireland who need the ISPCC and Childline.”

Dan Healy, Head of 2FM and RTÉ Radio Strategy, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to be heading into our third year with the 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC which is a very important event in our calendar.

“Judging by the amount of texts we are receiving from our listeners regarding this year's ball, I am certain we'll again raise a huge amount of money for a cause that is close to all our hearts at 2FM.

“This year's line up is another great showcase of top Irish music talent, all of whom are great live performers.

“It’ll be great to be back in the 3Arena working with Caroline Downey and her team at the ISPCC and I can’t wait for December 19.”

All parties involved with the 2FM Xmas Ball are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and 3Arena.

The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24 hour phone-line.
