reward.jpgA REWARD of e10,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide information about the horrific attack on a girl in Swords earlier this month.
Irish Crimestoppers Trust, the national freephone crime fighting service, has launched a campaign to support Swords gardai in their efforts to track down the perpetrator of an attack on the 17-year-old girl at Jacko Park, Swords, at approximately 3am on Sunday, August 3.
The suspect is described as male, between 18 and 25-years-of-age, with dark hair and sallow skin. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a black zipped hoodie.
Gardai are looking for information on anyone that fits this description.
Detective Inspector Pat Conlon said: “You might know someone fitting this description who has changed their behaviour or their appearance or who has recently left the area for no apparent reason. “You might know someone who has recently had unexplained stained or soiled clothing.
“Information you might think is unimportant might be very helpful to our investigation.”
Crimestoppers is offering the e10,000 reward for information that could lead to the identification of the suspect.

Posters and leaflets in English, Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian and with the suspect’s description have been distributed around Swords.
Irish Crimestoppers Trust spokesperson Paula Eager said: “The gardai are making an appeal to anyone who may recognise the man from the description to call Crimestoppers free on 1800 25 00 25.
“Each call will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence and you don’t need to leave your name or address.
“A e10,000 reward is on offer for significant information that helps gardai identify this man.”
During the course of the attack, the 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and received serious head and facial injuries.
Local gardai believe there may have been a number of people in the Jacko Recreational Park at the time of the assault and are appealing to them to contact the incident room in Swords with any information they may have, no matter how irrelevant they feel it may be.
