Soccer club announces new sponsor PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 13 August 2008
sponsor.jpgA NORTHSIDE ladies’ soccer club has unveiled new sponsorship for the 2008 season.
Santry Ladies’ Football Club, based at Sportslink on Old Airport Road, has announced Fyffes as their new club sponsor.
Santry Ladies will now wear the famous blue label on their jerseys.
Sheena McDonagh, captain of Santry Ladies, said the team is delighted to welcome Fyffes on board as official club sponsors.
“Thanks to their support, we have been able to invest in new jerseys from O’Neill’s, training equipment and insurance for the club,” stated Ms McDonagh.
Niamh Curtis, Fyffes Brand Manager, said: “Fyffes is delighted to sponsor Santry Ladies’ Football Club as a successful local sporting club.
“There’s a natural link between performing well on the pitch and eating healthily off the pitch, and that’s an important message that we want to get across through this sponsorship,” said Ms Curtis
Santry Ladies’ FC competes in the Dublin Women’s Soccer League (DWSL).
They enjoyed their most successful season in the club’s history last year when they gained promotion to the Major Division, having topped the Inter 2 North league.
This season, they are competing strongly in the league and are already through to the next round of the FAI Cup and the quarter finals of the Dublin League Cup.
