Gardai at Clontarf Garda Station are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on the Howth Road, Clontarf, at approximately 1.15pm last Thursday (July 3).
A spokesman for the Garda Press Office said security company staff were servicing ATMs when they were held up by at least two raiders.
“The two men produced what appeared to be a sawn off shotgun and a single shot was fired,” the spokesman stated.
“Cash was stolen from the security staff and the two suspects made their getaway in a four wheel drive/jeep type vehicle.”
The gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them at Clontarf Garda Station on 6664800.
