Balbriggan bus service to be reviewed PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 20 June 2008
A COMPREHENSIVE review of the Balbriggan Town Service, which circles the town and terminates at the train station, is underway.
That’s according to Dublin North TD Michael Kennedy (FF).
“I recently raised concerns with Bus Eireann about the effectiveness of the service on behalf of a constituent,” he stated.
“New bus stops are also planned and Bus Eireann is currently examining locations throughout Balbriggan, so that the service can reach more people.
“Planning for future stops is being undertaken in consultation with the local gardaí and Fingal County Council.”
Deputy Kennedy said detailed timetabling information is also to be provided at all bus stops, while a timetable leaflet is being delivered to all housing developments on the route.
“I am delighted that this review is happening,” he added.
“I see this as a very good example of Bus Eireann responding to its customers.”
