stvincent.gifTWO Dublin sides will meet each other in this year’s Men’s Senior National Cup final.
UCD Marian will come face-to-face with rivals St Vincent’s after both recorded impressive semi-final victories over AOL Broadband Waterford and Tolka Rovers respectively.

However, the only team to represent Dublin in the semi-finals of the Men’s Under 18 National Cup came up just short in their bid to reach the final.
South Dublin side Templeogue were involved in an excellent end-to-end game with Galway opponents Maree.
The teams had matched each other basket for basket for most of this terrific encounter, but Templeogue’s phenomenal three-point shooting in the second half wasn't enough in the end, as they fell to a 63-56 defeat.
There was to be better news for UCD Marian in the Men’s Senior semi-final, when they saw off the challenge of AOL Broadband Waterford by a ten-point margin.
UCD player coach, Ronan Holahan, paid tribute to his team after they grinded out their hard earned 63-53 victory at the DCU Sports Complex.
"It was a great win, after we lost one of our big players, David Harrison, earlier on to injury,” Ronan said.
“It was a hard fought win and everyone dug in.
"In the third quarter we switched the zone which really proved the difference and their big men didn't really hurt us as much as they did earlier on in the game.”
UCD’s win has set up an all-Dublin final after St Vincent’s accounted for Tolka Rovers on a scoreline of 79-75.
The meeting of St Vincent’s and Tolka lived up to its billing with St Vincent’s making the most of their ‘home advantage’ to win this semi-final by four points.
Meanwhile, the Men’s Under 20 final will feature UCD Marian after they had a magnificent 84-55 win over Belfast Star.
An Cearnog Nua, Moycullen, joined UCD Marian in the final after they accounted for Neptune with a 77-59 victory.
