bipper.jpgThe new Peugeot Bipper van has been awarded the Best New Van accolade at the 2008 Fleet World Honours, just weeks before its arrival in Ireland.
The judgement from Fleet World, the UK's leading Fleet Industry magazine, recognised the virtues of the new Bipper comprising economy and affordability, compact design, load capability and standard safety and equipment levels.
The prestigious annual awards were presented at a VIP ceremony in London to manufacturers, service companies and individuals who have achieved the highest level of excellence in their sector. The judging panel was made up of leading industry experts including Fleet World's editorial team, members of the leasing industry, fleet managers and representatives from residual values guides.
The Bipper delighted Van Fleet World judges with its novel features. Its 610kg payload and load volume of 2.5m3 are matched to a compact exterior with an overall length of only 3.86m.
Bipper also offers the flexible loading of bigger vans with its innovative multi-flex folding passenger seat that lowers to the load floor level, extending the load length and volume to 2.49m and 2.8m3 respectively.
A range of bulkhead options also enables the load space to be readily adapted to suit specific customer requirements.
Mark O'Connell, sales & marketing director of Peugeot in Ireland said: "The arrival of the new Peugeot Bipper will see our comprehensive LCV range extend further to a total of six light commercial vehicles. We're looking forward to offering our customers all the virtues that the new Bipper van offers. Customers will benefit from the Bipper being economical and compact while not compromising on load capacity and payload."
The new Peugeot Bipper van range will go on sale in Ireland this month. Full price and specification details will be announced shortly.
