Roberta Rowat was on hand this week to help repair taxis on St Stephen’s Green.
It’s all in aid of Nationwide Taxi Plus Ltd (NTPL), a brand new initiative aimed at providing taxi and hackney drivers, and their families, with complete peace of mind and security.
Not only will Nationwide Taxi Plus repair broken down taxis, but they will provide their members with an approved, fully licensed replacement taxi ready to go - meaning they are back in business on the same day.
While NTPL can’t guarantee all their cars will be serviced by Roberta or any of her model mates, they can guarantee that their experienced mechanics will carry out a full inspection on any car that passes through their gates.
Their nation-wide, 24 hour a day, 365 days a year service costs only e8 per week and taxi and hackney drivers from right across the country are already flocking towards the company to protect their livelihood.
"This is the first service of its kind for Irish taxi drivers,” said Linda Shields, Sales and Marketing Manager for Nationwide Taxi Plus Ltd. “It’s a tax efficient service for taxi drivers that keeps them on the road, earning their living. At a weekly fee of only e8, this is one offer drivers are already jumping at.
"In addition to offering taxi drivers an approved, fully licensed replacement taxi, ready to go on the same day as their breakdown, we also offer our members great added extras, including discounted call-out valeting, an introductory 40 per cent discount with Hibernian Rescue Breakdown Service, as well as a DCI fuel management card.
