ism.jpgOpel Ireland and ISM (Irish School of Motoring) recently launched a partnership to promote safe driving in the ultimate learner driver car – the Opel Corsa. As a result, all Irish School of Motoring instructors will now teach their students to drive in the new Opel Corsa.
Established in 1961, ISM is Ireland’s longest established driving school providing lessons for learner drivers nationwide from Malin Head to Mizen Head. It boasts a 90 per cent pass rate, the highest of any school in Ireland.
ISM chose the new Opel Corsa for Irish learner drivers because of its premium driving performance. With observation a key factor for all learner drivers, the Opel Corsa offers great visibility with a seat height adjustor available to ensure that both driver and instructor are offered optimum viewing.
The electrically adjustable door mirrors and speed-sensitive power steering all add to enhance the beginner driver's new driving experience. All learner drivers will delight in perfecting their skills in this stylish and dynamic car. The comfortable interior and instantly recognisable exterior makes the Opel Corsa the perfect car for instructors and learner drivers alike.
As an extension of the partnership, all affiliated ISM driving instructors have been trained in the Opel Corsa to the highest possible standards at the ISM instructor training college.
Commenting on the partnership, Karl Walsh, General Manager of ISM said: “As Ireland’s only nationwide driving school, we offer our students the benefit of our decades of experience, unparalleded local knowledge and access to a huge range of resources to help all learner drivers pass first time. We are now also delighted to offer them the opportunity to learn to drive in the comfortable, reliable and stylish Opel Corsa.”
David Ford from Opel Ireland added: “Opel Ireland is proud to be associated with ISM,  the longest established driving school in the country. We sincerely hope that all learner drivers enjoy learning to drive in the Opel Corsa. All in all, the Opel Corsa, complete with its excellent safety features, unique engine performance and stylish looks is the ideal car for Ireland's learner drivers.”
