ART: The Ross Art annual exhibition and sale of paintings takes place in Pobalscoil Rosmini on Gracepark Road, Drumcondra, on Saturday April 26 and Sunday April 27.

COELIACS: The Dublin 15 Coeliac Support Group meets in the Lounge of the Bell Pub, (Davey & Phelans), Blanchardstown on the first Tuesday of every month from 8pm. This is a very informal get-together for coeliacs from the locality to meet other coeliacs in a friendly environment and give each other practical support and advice. PATRICIAN COLLEGE: Attention past pupils of Patrician College, Finglas. The school is in existence over the past 40 years and some past pupils want to mark this occasion. SOCIAL: ‘Gaining Ground’ is for people with experience of mental health difficulties that meets in a social setting - no counselling, therapy or questions in a friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere. The group organise events, activities and outings. New people very welcome. At present, the group meet weekly in various venues but are based in Brookfield Enterprise Centre in Tallaght. PUB QUIZ: A pub quiz in aid of the Trust Project will take place in the Gate Bar, Crumlin Road on Friday, April 25. The Trust Project provides a walk in centre where the homeless in Dublin can have a meal and a change of clothes.

EXHIBITION: Following an extended sojourn in the wilds of Norway, Irish artist Katherine Michael (aka Papillon) has produced her most extraordinary exhibition to date. The Moon Water collection is notable for it unabashed use of acid warm colours and surprising mixed-media. It opens on Friday, April 25 at 7.30pm and continues until May 2 on the 3rd floor, Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre, Expose Yourself Gallery. For more details tel 0863945417.

ART: Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council presents ‘Concourse Offsite’ – a site specific installation art exhibition in Blackrock Park by Aoife Desmond, Mark Garry and Alan Phelan from  May 1 – June 1. Admission free. For more information tel 2719531.

TOURS: Deansgrange Cemetery Tours: Easter 1916 - visiting the graves of volunteers, soldiers and  civilians – takes place once a month until September. The first tour visits the graves from the Easter Rising of 1916 and takes place on Sunday, April 27. Thereafter tours on the notable graves (Flann O'Brien, Frank O'Connor, Sean Lemass, John A Costello, Kathleen Lynn, Ernest Walton, John McCormack and many others) will place on Sundays May 25, June 22,  July 27,  August 24 and  September 28. AUCTION: A sale of work and auction will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 10am to 6pm in St Joseph's Parish Hall, rear of St Joseph’s Church, in Terenure. Auction is at 3pm and admission is €2. Free car parking. The proceeds of the sale and the auction will go to  the upkeep of the parish hall.

OPERA: A lunchtime feast of opera, song and piano will take place in The National Concert Hall on Friday, April 25. Tickets €14 (concession €10 ) are available on the box office number 4170000.

TEA MORNING: The Dun Laoghaire Active Retirement Association will host a coffee/tea morning in aid of the Alzheimer Society in the Boylan Centre on Friday, April 25 from 10.30am to 12.30pm .

GARDA BAND: Ballyfermot Community Civic Centre presents the Garda Band on May 22 at 6.30pm. Admission is free. It will take place as part of an open day that will offer the people of Ballyfermot an opportunity to find out more about the Civic Centre and its services, while enjoying a great evening of entertainment. GARDENING: The Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland is presenting a gardening talk entitled 'New Garden-Worthy Plants' by renowned plantsman Bob Brown of Cotswold Garden Flowers in St Brigid's Parish Centre, Stillorgan on Wednesday, April 23 at 8pm. FREE YOGA: Find out what Yoga is all about. Learn some of the basics of Hatha Yoga, including breathing techniques, yoga postures and stretches, and meditation techniques, for use in your daily life. BARBECUE: Start the summer with a sizzle. A Barbecue and Summer Foods cookery demonstration will take place on Thursday, April 24, in Skerries Sailing Club at 8pm with Billie O’Shea of the Fairyhouse Food and Wine School. St Patrick’s Senior School Parents’ Association is hosting the event, which aims to raise funds to purchase an interactive white board for the school. ARTHRITIS: Arthritis Ireland is holding a free public lecture in the Regency Hotel, Swords Road, on
Tuesday, April 22, at 8pm. Dr Maurice Barry, Consultant Rheumatologist at Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, will speak about the latest information on arthritis. A question/answer session will follow the lecture. All are welcome.
