207p.jpgThe one millionth Peugeot 207 has rolled off the production lines, less than two years after the model's commercial launch.
Continuing the success and leadership of the legendary Peugeot 205 and 206, the 207 is now sold in over 100 countries and exceeded worldwide sales objective by more than 20,000 units in 2007.
Europe's best selling car in 2007, the Peugeot 207 has been bestowed many accolades and awards internationally, pushing sales demands to the one million mark.
Viewed favourably by international press, the 207 was awarded Car of the Year 2007 in Spain, Auto Europa 2007 in Italy and Import Car of the Year 2007 in Japan. With class-topping resale values in Ireland, the 207 featured in the Top Ten of the biggest-ever UK reliability survey, alongside the Mini. Equipped with a 1.6 litre petrol engine, produced in conjunction with BMW, the 207 was also awarded an Engine of the Year award 2007. It scored a maximum five star safety rating in the Euro NCAP tests.
In the sporting world, in 2007, the 207 Super 2000 toppled two crowns (driver and manufacturer titles) in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC), as well as the national titles in Portugal and Poland.
The 207 is built at three sites throughout Europe at the Poissy factory in Paris, at the Trnava factory in Slovakia and in Madrid, Spain at a rate of 2,500 vehicles a day.
Available in Ireland in hatchback, SW and Coupe Cabriolet guise, Peugeot offers a 207 model suited to everyone's needs. Each of these body styles is equipped with the latest generation of low-CO2-emission petrol and diesel engines matched to class leading safety and comfort equipment.
