Ireland may have voted YES in the Lisbon Treaty Referendum last year but it was Ballsbridge Motors and their general manager Seamus Ryan who topped the poll in Dublin.
That was the view of two leading Irish charities - the National Rehabilitation Institute and Barrettstown Camp - who shared the e1,600 fee that was paid to Ballsbridge Motors for allowing their Shelbourne Road showrooms to be used as a polling station in lieu of the nearby Ballsbridge VEC building which was undergoing renovations at the time.
Pictured receiving their e800 cheques were (right) Keith Wilton (National Rehab Hospital) and Ciara Smullen (Barrettstown Camp) with Ballsbridge Motors general manager Seamus Ryan (centre).
