Gowan Motors Parkgate, the long-established Peugeot and Citroen dealers, have announced details of their take-over of DG Opel on the Navan Road.The newly named company - DG Gowan Motors - is based at the two acre Navan Road premises, which has undergone extensive development to house new state-of-the-art Peugeot, Citroen, Honda and Opel showrooms. With sales and after sales operations now fully in situ, the new showrooms have been opened for business, less than one year since work began. The new DG Gowan premises is home to a dynamic and skilled sales and after sales team that offers new car and light commercial vehicle sales, used car sales, finance, parts and accessories, service and breakdown recovery. The experienced team at DG Gowan Motors includes Brian Smyth, dealer principal, Michael Gibbs, Peugeot and Citroen sales manager, Richard Cassidy, Opel and Honda sales manager, Tony Monaghan, parts director and Charlie Byrne, service manager. Brian Smyth said: "We have been established as a Peugeot main dealer for Dublin's Northside for over 30 years and have held the Citroen franchise since 1994. “Over the years, thanks to our proven sales and after sales expertise, we have developed a loyal customer base in both private and corporate sales. The take-over of DG Opel and subsequent move to the Navan Road premises has been a very exciting event, one that is sure to enrich our customers' experience.” He added: “Our stylish showrooms on the Navan Road promise to give customers a more welcoming, relaxed environment in which to choose from the extensive range of Peugeot, Citroen, Honda and Opel cars and light commercials." DG Gowan Motors is part of the Gowan Group, and is one of four flagship Gowan motor retail outlets in Dublin. The Gowan Group was founded in 1969 by the late Con Smith and is now run by executive chairman, Michael Maughan and Gemma Maughan, major shareholder. The opening of the new DG Gowan showrooms coincides with a national road show to preview the new Peugeot 3008 Crossover, due its official launch in Ireland this autumn. |
