Fight Club Kickboxing’s ‘The One’, Barbara Delaney, and Alexandra Ward captured British titles last month.
Ireland’s top female kickboxer, World Champion Barbara Delaney, received the Flyweight WKL/WIMAAO British titles after competing against Aisling McLaren from Phoenix Kickboxing and will receive a world title fight this year.
The second of Fight Club’s fighters, Alexandra Ward, won the Lightheavy weight versions of the titles in style when she knocked out local girl Alanna Cahill in under 50 seconds of the first round.
The teenager is already Junior IKF Light Contact Champion and has a bright future ahead of her.
Fight Club head instructor Ken Molloy said: “This is an amazing time for the club and the girls.
“This is Barbara’s seventh major title and a possibility of another world title this year, and Alex’s second major title in her first full contact fight. She’s one to watch for the future.”
