Special day for Erin go Bragh PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 16 September 2008
day.jpgLAST Sunday week (September 7) was a special day for a West Dublin camogie club.
Shauna Knowles, Erica Manning and Amy O’Hara, who play for the Erin go Bragh Under 12 camogie team, made the breakthrough from club to county when they attended their first training session with the Dublin development squad.
The girls will spend the next two years training hard with other potential future county players. They will also travel to a competition in Kilkenny to represent Dublin and Erin Go Bragh.
Considering that this is the team’s first year together, they have done brilliantly and are still in with a chance of getting runners-up in the league, with the championship to come.
It also speaks volumes for the whole team and their mentors, who have worked hard all year, to have three from the team make the development squad.
Meanwhile, new players are always welcome. Please contact Dermot Donohoe on 087-9323084 or visit www.eringobraghgaa.ie
